Mirror Hours vs Reversed Hours: 12:12 Is Not 12:21
Identify matching, reversed and repeated-digit clock patterns using a 24-hour display.

Start with the displayed pattern
On a 24-hour digital clock, a matching mirror hour repeats the hour in the minute field: 00:00, 01:01 and so on through 23:23. There are 24 such displays in a day. A reversed hour swaps the two hour digits in the minute field, as in 12:21 or 21:12.
Not every reversed pair is a valid time. Reversing 17 produces 71, but 17:71 cannot occur because minutes run from 00 through 59. Validate the time before assigning it a pattern label.
Some labels overlap
11:11 and 22:22 are matching mirror hours and also read identically when the hour digits are reversed. Their four repeated digits make them visually different from 12:12, even though both 11:11 and 12:12 meet the matching-hour definition.
A 12-hour clock changes what you see. The 24-hour time 13:13 displays as 1:13 PM on a typical 12-hour interface. If you are counting sightings, record the display format. Otherwise you may compare different patterns as though they were the same observation.
A pattern is not an appointment with the future
A clock observation tells you what appeared on a display. The meaning assigned to it belongs to a symbolic tradition or your own reflection. It does not establish what another person thinks or when a desired event will happen.
If a particular time interests you, note what you were doing and how often you checked the clock overall. That provides more context than counting only memorable matches. Read the existing mirror-hour guide for that exact display rather than substituting an unrelated four-digit sequence.
